History
of Company
In 1885 C.W. Benning Construction
entered the General Contracting business in Atchison,
Kansas. Throughout Kansas, C.W. Henry Benning and Associates Inc. built
numerous government, state and local buildings in Atchison,
Kingman, Winfield, Great Bend, Garnett, and Emporia, Kansas.
Some of the most notable buildings were the Union Depot, the
County Courthouse, and the Effingham High School. At the turn
of the century approached C.W. Benning found himself doing
work in Oklahoma, and Utah. A project in Salt Lake City was
the Symns Wholesale House.
Over the years
the Benning family has built or participated in the building
of numerous Post Office buildings from Alabama to Rock Springs,
Wyoming where Lynn Benning was incharge of all the plumbing
and mechanical work, and supervised the installation of the
heating, and ventilation systems.
Today,
Benning Construction continues
to employ the same visionary thinking that lead us into the
20th Century as we enter the 21st Century. Our progressive
and foresight and aggressive work plan along with our use
of technology has enabled us to work throughout the state
of Texas, the South, and the Southwest. We have successfully
completed projects in Arizona, New Mexico, Louisiana, Missouri,
and of course Texas.
